AALHE 2017 Annual Conference

In this session, attendees will learn about strategies for building leaders at the department, college, and university levels to complement assessment office support. Details of each strategy and the evidence of changes in Wayne State's culture of assessment from an annual campus-wide survey, rubric reviews of assessment plans, and committee reports provide evidence of the changing culture of assessment under this leadership model from 2014 to the present. Hands-on activities will engage participants in evaluating the applicability of those strategies to their home institutions and brainstorming ways to gather evidence of leadership development. This is a 30-minute session shared in a one-hour slot. Two presentations will be given during this time period.
